George Brown's two-year Carpentry and Renovation Technician program equips you with the skills to start a career in renovation and light construction. You’ll get hands-on experience in carpentry, construction safety, and renovation work, while also learning the business skills needed to thrive in the industry.

The Building Renovation Technician program, also two years long, focuses on both renovation and construction, with a special emphasis on sustainable design. You'll learn practical carpentry techniques, explore new building materials, and develop skills in various renovation trades. Training happens in fully equipped labs where you’ll practice framing and finishing using eco-friendly design principles.

Requirements

Please provide the following documents and information to begin your application.

English Proficiency

  • IELTS (academic): 6.0, minimum 5.5 in each skill band

  • TOEFL: 80 (online) minimum 20 in each skill band

  • Duolingo: 110 min overall score

  • PTE: 54, overall minimum, 50 in each skill band
